About HKU MMLab
HKU MMLab was established on September 1, 2019, centering its research on fundamental AI problems. It operates in conjunction with its affiliated lab, MMLab@CUHK. Presently, HKU MMLab comprises three faculty members and over 40 research affiliates, including research fellows, assistants, and Ph.D. students.
The research pursuits at HKU MMLab primarily encompass Artificial Intelligence Generated Content, Image and Video Understanding, Large Language Model (LLM), Multi-modal Foundation Model, Embodied AI, and Electronic Design Automation. In-depth explorations and publications are available on the research page. For prospective scholars aligned with our research interests, HKU MMLab welcomes motivated Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants.
